Our Role: Main Contractor including Specialist Joinery Manufacturing and Installation
We were appointed as the main contractor to carry out the full renovation and loft conversion of a beautiful Grade-listed former Quaker House in Holmfirth. Working closely with local architects ADP in Holmfirth, our brief was to sympathetically restore and future-proof this heritage property while transforming it into a fully modernised family home.
Renovating a listed property of this age and historical importance required careful coordination with heritage bodies, engineers, and specialists. Attention to detail and deep respect for the building’s original features were essential throughout. Integrating modern systems like underfloor heating, smart lighting, and bespoke cabinetry into a centuries-old structure posed logistical challenges that were successfully overcome with thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship.
The result is a seamless blend of historic preservation and modern luxury. The Quaker House retains its original charm and architectural heritage while now offering all the comforts of a contemporary home, built to last for generations. Our client was particularly pleased with the high level of detail, craftsmanship, and respect shown to the property’s legacy.
